Confidentiality

Each participant must maintain the confidentiality of patient records and files during and after a participant’s rotation.


Observation

An observership is strictly an observational tutorial program. Participants are only permitted to observe the clinical activities at our facilities and to discuss his/her observations with their preceptor. Participants do not have access to hands-on patient care or contact, examination, research or other work during his/her observership.

Termination

Our program reserves the right to terminate an observer’s rotation at any time in the event that the observer’s performance jeopardizes a patient’s well-being or if the observer is unable to achieve the objectives of the educational experience.



Requirements & Eligibility





  • Enrolled or graduated from university or medical school (If graduated must provide a diploma from the university)
  • Malpractice Insurance coverage
  • Citizenship, Visa or Passport
  • Mode of transportation to various clinic locations
  • Agreement to terms/conditions
  • Full Payment to be received before the start of the rotation

Reference Letters

A participant may request one letter of reference at the end of the observership/rotation.


Equipment/Dress Code

You will be responsible for providing your own white coat, stethoscope, and any other medical equipment you may need. Observers/interns are expected to dress in a professional manner. T-shirts, jeans, cutoffs, open-toe shoes, and other casual articles of clothing are not permitted. We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes.
